what i shipped today
i pushed a new version of the dream journal app with improved dream analysis. this includes better entity recognition and sentiment analysis, making the summaries more insightful. plus, i tweaked the ui to make it easier to browse past dreams.
from regex to llm: parsing dream narratives
initially, i used regex to extract key information from dream entries. it was brittle and missed a lot. i’ve now switched to using an llm for parsing. the results are much better — more accurate entity recognition and a deeper understanding of the dream’s themes.
